Basic Methods of Organic Farming

In today's time where people are falling prey to chronic diseases easily, who would like to risk their life with the harmful pesticides and fertilizers? Organic farming is  being practiced from ancient times. Organic farming method which aims at cultivating the land raising crops in such a way that the soil is kept in good health by use of organic wastes (crop, animal and farm wastes, aquatic wastes) and other biological materials.

In Organic farming following techniques are used:

• Crop Rotation: It is a technique to grow various types of crops in the same area, according to different seasons.
• Green Manure:The dying plants are uprooted and stuffed into the soil to make them nutrient for the soil to increase the quality.
• Compost: Highly rich in nutrients, it is a recycled organic matter used as a fertilizer in agricultural farms.
